The First Bhakti Kencana International Conference (BKIC) 2026 was successfully organized online by Bhakti Kencana University on 29–30 August 2026. The conference was held under the theme “Health Impacts of Climate Change: Integrative Approaches to Safeguard Human Well-being.”
The conference featured an International Seminar, along with oral and poster presentation sessions. The scientific program welcomed six distinguished speakers from Indonesia and abroad: Prof. Dr. Nazri Che Dom from Malaysia; Assoc. Prof. Nutta Taneepanichskul, PhD from Thailand; Elvira L. Urgel, Ph.D., RN from the Philippines; Dr. Tosin Popoola from Newcastle, Australia; and Dr. Ratna Dian Kurniawati, M.Kes and Dr. apt. Patonah, MS from Bhakti Kencana University, Indonesia.
The conference received an enthusiastic response, with 1,267 registered participants from various backgrounds, including lecturers, students, researchers, health professionals, practitioners, and other stakeholders. A total of 23 presenters also participated in the oral and poster presentation sessions to share their research and community service findings.
The event was supported by three co-host institutions: Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA), STIKes Indramayu, and Politeknik Al Islam Bandung.
BKIC 2026 contributed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-being, SDG 11 on Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 13 on Climate Action, through discussions on climate-related health risks and sustainable community resilience.
The successful implementation of BKIC 2026 marks an important milestone for Bhakti Kencana University in strengthening international academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and networking in the field of health and human well-being.
